How can we make such a guarantee?

Before we ever considered making this guarantee we bought not one but two of the expensive brand of otoscopes pictured above. Actually, we initially bought one otoscope and did our comparison.  We admit we were somewhat amazed by the fact we actually were able to see the eardrum more clearly with our otoscope than we did with the $200 well known brand. We then decided to purchase one more just to make sure we could repeat the results. Sure enough the results once again were the same. Not only did our otoscope gave a clearer picture of the eardrum but our light was also  brighter. To top things off one of the bulbs in the expensive brand of otoscopes burned out while we were using it. It probably got weakened during shipping and is no fault of of the brand, never the less it was going to cost $34 for a new replacement bulb. That said the normal life span for a halogen bulb used in an otoscope is only 6 months to a year with normal use.
